You and your 'friends' have been wrongfully accused of a crime and don't belong behind bars. You've made your case first to the judge, then to the warden, but no one is buying it. Looks like there's only one path to freedom: a good old-fashioned prison break! Escape Iron Gate Prison by moving through each of the four areas on the board, earning items on the way by completing puzzles, drawing, acting and trading. The player that passes through the final gate first wins!
Place the Common Items, Rare Items, Action Cards, 'Lucky' Cards, and Puzzle Cards on the board as indicated. Choose your token and place it in the prison cell of your choice. You'll also see 4 gates marked on the board that you'll need to pass through as you make your escape to freedom!
Your escape manual includes a 'Quick Play Guide' with an overview of gameplay, as well as more detailed instructions on game specifics. Each turn consists of three main phases: roll, draw, and trade. Your roll determines which card you will draw. After fulfilling the card, you may trade items with another player or the Commissary, pass a gate or end your turn.
Action Cards require you to act or draw as indicated at the top of the card. You'll have 30 seconds to complete the action while the other players try to guess the word. Puzzle Cards are solved between turns, with the answer being given at the beginning of your next turn. If you are successful with your Action Card or Puzzle Card, you'll receive an Item Card to help with your escape.
Gate Cards are the only things standing between you and sweet, sweet freedom. Fulfill your Gate Cards by collecting the Common and Rare Items listed and paying them to the Commissary. You may pass only one gate per turn, and all gates must be passed in order. Be the first to pass through the final gate to freedom to win! It's action packed fun for your family and friends!
