In Res Arcana, you become a powerful mage battling over valuable monuments and Places of Power. Each mage has a powerful special ability.

Use essences like Life, Death, Elan, Calm, and Gold to purchase Artifact cards and activate them. The essence tray makes managing your resources easy.

The game ends when at least one mage has acquired 10 points through Artifact cards, Places of Power, Monuments, and the first player marker.

Launch attacks against your opponents with powerful Dragons. They have to defend themselves or they’ll lose life.

As you pass each round, you can choose a magic item that will give you an ability in the next round. Some will earn you essences, others with allow you to draw cards or defend against an attack.

With simple gameplay, featuring complex decisions, Res Arcana is an excellent game for players of all skill levels.
